Do I need an account?
No. The app works fully without any sign-up, and every entry is saved on your device first.
How does partner sync work?
One phone creates the shared log and generates a private invite code; the second phone pastes it. Both phones then write to one log. No email or password is involved.
Where is my data?
On your device. If you turn on partner sync, entries also sync through our server so both phones stay current — see the privacy policy for exactly what that means.
Can I see it without opening the app?
Yes. The Home Screen widget shows how long it has been since the last feed, diaper and pumping session, and a running timer keeps a Live Activity on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. Both read from the app on your device, and nothing is sent anywhere. Worth knowing: like anything on the Lock Screen, they can be read without unlocking the phone.
Can it nudge me if a feed is overdue?
Yes — Settings, then Reminders. The feed gap reminder is off until you turn it on, you choose the number of hours, and it is a local notification: your phone schedules it and your phone delivers it.
Can I bring something to the pediatrician?
Settings, then Visit summary, then Share last 7 days. It builds a plain-text timeline and totals you can text, email, or print.
Why is there a night mode toggle?
Because 3am is the app's real home. Night dimming swaps the whole palette for dark-adapted eyes.
My settings went back to their defaults.
Version 0.8.0 rebuilds the app natively, and night dimming, volume unit, reminder timing and the feeding ring goal start fresh. Your log is untouched — every entry carries over. The four settings are one tap each.
It is asking me to reconnect my partner.
Same reason: the rebuilt app introduces itself to the shared log as a new phone, so the pairing needs a fresh handshake. On the phone that is still connected, open Partner and create a partner code. On this phone, tap "Restore this phone" and paste it. No entries are lost on either side.
